In memory of
Carl Daniel Dean
1929-2019 Carl Daniel Dean, 90, of Wewahitchka, FL went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 8, 2019. He was born March 2, 1929 in Carrabelle, Florida. Carl experienced life to its fullest. He and his loving wife travelled the globe on many occasions. When not traveling, he had a passion for gardening, raising cattle, and NASCAR. He was very active in his church. He served his church in several ministries throughout the years. After serving in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II, he worked at the St. Joe Company paper mill as an electrician where he retired after 40 years. The Church's Monday Night Prayer time was a passion of his and he never missed the opportunity to pray for his community. After his relationship with Christ, his family was his most important priority. If you knew Carl, you knew his children and grandkids. He never missed an opportunity to share stories of them. His family was truly his joy. Carl was preceded in death by his father and mother, Daniel W. Dean and Eula R. Dean; and brothers, William M. Dean and Grady Dean. Those left to cherish Carl's memory include his wife of 69 years, Myrtice A. Dean; son, Philip T. Dean (Laura) daughters, Diane D. Clark (John), and Jeanie D. Flowers (Perry); grandchildren, Monica Henry (Charlie), Jason Flowers, Rhett Dean (Rachel), Carrie Peebles, and Justin Dean (Katie); great-grandchildren, Cara Henry, Ethan Henry, Ainsley Peebles, Taylor Dean, Carson Flowers, Porter Dean, Lincoln Peebles, Tinley Dean, Julia Flowers, and Fuller Dean. A Celebration of Carl's Life begins 3:00 P.M., Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God with Pastor Joey Smith officiating. The family will receive friends beginning 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Jehu Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Jason Flowers, Rhett Dean, Justin Dean, Charlie Henry, John Honea, and Kenny Strange. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God Building Fund. Those wishing to extend condolences may do so at www.heritagefhllc.com.
