COOPER Phillip was born May 24, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio. The youngest child of Izola Cooper (deceased) and Clifford. A long time resident of East Cleveland, Ohio, Phillip attended East Cleveland Schools. After leaving Shaw High School, Phillip attended the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marines, Phillip married Mary Detamore. After leaving the Marines, divorced followed and he returned to his beloved hometown. Phillip was re-married to Patricia Collins; they had no children. Affectionately known as Phil or as proudly displayed on his truck Phillay, anyone who knew him knew he loved his hometown, money, cars, a good card game, playing pool and family. He was very independent, funny, loved his hats and stylish outfits to include his gators and Stacey Adam shoes. Phillip was later divorced from Patricia. True to his independent spirit, he later started his business Phil's Construction where it quickly became a proud passion for him until he became ill. Phillip was called home on August 8, 2019.
