Thomas Taylor, 84 Former longtime S.I. resident; prayer service is on Saturday Thomas Taylor, 84, of Old Bridge, N.J., went home to the Lord on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. Born Wednesday, Oct. 3, 1934, in Staten Island, N.Y., he was the son of the late Matthew and Doris Taylor. Thomas was raised in the Dongan Hills section of Staten Island. He would remain there until settling in Old Bridge 25 years ago. Thomas worked in maintenance at the South Amboy Hospital. Thomas was a man of strong faith, he loved spending time reading the Bible. Thomas is survived by his loving brothers, Teddy Taylor and his wife, Norma and Matthew Taylor and his wife, Dolores. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 U.S. Hwy. 9, Old Bridge, N.J.
