Domenica Picciocco, 90 Longtime Doctors' Hospital employee enjoyed time with family Domenica Picciocco, 90, passed away on Aug. 6, 2019, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, N.J. Born in Vinchiaturo, Italy, she was the daughter of Antonetta and Michael Barbato. At the age of one, she immigrated to the United States and settled in New Brighton. She moved to Grant City in 1979 and then to Freehold, N.J., in 2015. She graduated from Curtis High School. For three decades, Domenica was the director of the admitting department at Doctors' Hospital of Staten Island. She served her community in various positions with the St. Bernardino Women's Society, as president of the Assumption Senior Center, and as a member of Granito-Smith. She was a loyal Mets fan and an avid reader. But her most favorite pastime of all was spending time with her family. Domenica is survived by her daughter, Charlene, son-in-law, Joseph; granddaughter, Michele, her husband, Donald; grandson, Joseph, his wife, Dana, and four great-grandchildren, Donald, Juliana, Kylie, and Joseph. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, her parents, and her brother, Frank. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Assumption St. Paul R.C. Church, 15 Webster Ave., on Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road. Visitation will be held at Casey Funeral Home on Aug. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Aug. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Casey Funeral Home 350 Slosson Ave. Staten Island, N.Y. 10314 (718) 447-4242
