Cheryl Lee Dornblaser-Schrum ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA Cheryl Lee Dornblaser-Schrum, 60, of St. Simons Island, GA (formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ), departed this life Sunday Aug. 4, 2019, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA. A family memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 10 at the family residence on St. Simons Island. She graduated from Warren County Technical High School, then received a degree in cosmetology from Empire Beauty School in Easton, PA, followed by an associate's degree in accounting from Churchman's Business School in Easton. Some of her early joys in life were playing the flute in the high school band and fine arts and crafts. Later in life, she continued to enjoy shopping, cooking and entertaining and traveling. Some of her passions included interior and landscape design and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was born July 10, 1959, in Easton to George and Bonnie Dornblaser. She resided most of her life in Phillipsburg, NJ, but has been a resident of St. Simons Island for the past 15 years. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include: her husband of 26 years, Jim Schrum of St. Simons Island (formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ), three children and their spouses, Shawn Dornblaser and wife, Diana of Phillipsburg; Chad Noel and wife, Crystal of Brunswick, GA; Amy Marr and husband, Erik of Effort, PA, and a brother-in-law, Matthew Schrum of St. Simons Island. She was also a grandmother to eight: Shawn Jr. and Justin Dornblaser, Victoria, Haley and Brooke Noel and Audrey-Anna Rotondo, Patrick and Llyam Marr. She is also survived by her mother, Bonnie Dornblaser of Phillipsburg; her two sisters, Lynn Grubbs of Perrysburg, OH, and Cathy Dornblaser of Phillipsburg, as well as her nieces and nephews, Eric and Amanda Grubbs, Briana Deemer and David Schrum.
