Darah Aline Emmons 1933-2019
Darah Aline Emmons 1933-2019 Rancho Mirage - Darah, long time resident of Rancho Mirage, died on Tuesday the 30th of July, in her home surrounded by family. Born in 1933 in Los Angeles, CA, Darah was Miss Teenage America in the 50's. She starred in the 1958 Roger Corman cult classic named, "Teenage Cave Man". She also had parts in Bachelor Father, Checkmate, Ozzie and Harriet and Ripcurl. She also did modeling and a variety of National commercials. Later in life, Darah also worked side by side with her husband Duncan Emmons, who owned Duncan Emmons Auto Body for 60 years. She was understanding with the customers and she always looked out for them and they loved her for it. In 2013, Darah received The Keys to the City Award from the City of Rancho Mirage Darah loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching movies, eating at restaurants and vintage auto races with her husband. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Pirozzi, sons Jeffrey and C. Scott Preble, Chris and Shayna Preble and Delano and Leone Pirozzi and Great Grandchildren Maddie and Theodore Preble whom all live in Southern California. She was a loving and caring mother, daughter, wife and friend and will be missed by many. Memorial gifts can be given to America Cancer Society.
