In memory of
Sosnowski, Kay Kay Lorraine Sosnowski passed away Friday, August 2nd, 2019, after a courageous five year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ron Sosnowski, grandchild Myah Sosnowski and her parents Junior and Lorraine Hall. She is survived by her two children Devin Schaefer (son-in-law Neil Schaefer) of Rockford and Chad Sosnowski (daughter-in-law Katie Sosnowski) also of Rockford. Her adored Grand Children, Payton and Gavin Sosnowski. Her brothers Gerald Hall (sister-in-law Amy Hall) of Cedar Springs, Larry Hall (sister-in-law Trudy Hall) of Trufant, and Randy Hall (sister-in-law Kjersti Kontio) of Harbor Springs. Several nieces and nephews. Kay's love, compassion, work ethic, and strong resolve was second to none. During her five year battle with cancer, she never complained. She was always positive during negative situations by saying, "all is good." She loved her grandchildren more than anything in life and would do anything for them. We rejoice she is now in heaven with her husband and beautiful grandchild Myah. Her family hopes she will always be remembered for the gifts she gave, her spirit and her banana bread. That even in dark times, always remember that there are people around you that love you and want to help you. Kay worked at retail establishments Eberhard, D&W, and Meijer. However, her true calling was working with children and infants. During her time working at Wee Folk and Rainbow Child Care, she was able to fulfill her passion and touch the lives of many children and their parents. Childcare was very important to her and came naturally. Any child or infant or adult that was within her presence instantly knew, and felt love. Visitation will be held at the Pederson Funeral Home in Rockford on Monday, August 5 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, August 6 from 2:00-3:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Pederson Funeral Home in Rockford on Tuesday, August 6 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
