LeRoy "Trigger" Roach
LeRoy (Trigger) Roach passed July 26, 2019. He was born to George and Marjorie Roach of Westport, California, on June 25, 1935. Trigger was a logger who started his logging career at age 14, working summers setting chokers. After high school, he ran heavy equipment and went into becoming an old growth redwood timber faller. He later became part owner, with his uncle Jack Perkins, in Perkins and Roach Logging Company. After Perkins and Roach, he created Roach Brothers Logging, Inc., with his brother, Gary. He spent the greater part of his life working in the timber industry. His greatest joys in life were logging, hunting and his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Sybil Roach. He leaves behind his daughter, Julie McHenry, and husband, Mick; son, Charles Roach, and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Miki McHenry, Donald Anderson and wife, Ashley; great-grandson, Dean LeRoy Anderson. Also surviving are his brother, Gary Roach and wife, Sally; and nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
