PEGGY AND PAUL LANGA JERSEY CITY Margaret (Peggy) Fish Langa, age 91, died of natural causes on February 22, 2019, in Brevard, NC. A month later, on March 28, her husband of 67 years, Paul Langa, age 92, also died of natural causes in Flat Rock, NC. Peggy and Paul were both born and raised in Jersey City. Peggy was the daughter of Allan and Alma (Nelson) Fish. She was baptized at St. Stephen's and graduated from Colby Junior College in New London, NH. She was an avid golfer and bridge player, and for many years was an active member and volunteer at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Brevard NC. She was also a long-time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, most recently with the Waightstill Avery Chapter. Paul was also born in Jersey City, the son of Steven and Lucille (Mabillot) Langa. He was baptized at St. Demetrios and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following the war he graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton NY, and worked in personnel management for a number of organizations, including twenty years as a labor relations director for the U.S. Postal Service. Peggy and Paul lived at various times in West Caldwell, Manasquan, Cherry Hill, Haddon Township, Medford, and Somerville before retiring to North Carolina in 1992. They are survived by four children: Dr. Victoria Langa of Cheswick, PA; Melissa Langa of Brookline MA, and her husband Jeff Wulfson; Steven Langa of Los Angeles CA, and his partner Stacy Pickren; and Dr. Jennifer Klaus of Brookline MA. They are also survived by grandchildren Kate Wulfson and her partner Mike Wang, Jim Wulfson, Rachael Langa, Tysen Klaus, and Riley Klaus, and by great-grandchildren Pallas and Mars Wang. A private interment service will be held in the fall at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hamilton College or Colby-Sawyer College.
