Jon Stimson
Jon Stimson Rancho Mirage - Jon Stimson passed away on July 15, 2019 at the age of 81. He was born in 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was raised in Marion, Indiana by his two loving parents, Paul and Leona Stimson. After graduating from high school, he attended Purdue University where he graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering. He went to work in the aerospace industry in St. Petersburg, Florida for five years and then returned to Purdue to study for a master's degree in electrical engineering. After completion of this degree, he moved to Los Angeles, California and spent the rest of his career working for Hughes Aircraft Company. After retirement in 1993, he moved to Rancho Mirage, CA and purchased a second home at The Lake of the Ozarks Missouri where he resumed his long time hobby of boating during the summer months. Jon was a gentle, kind, and intelligent man. He liked people and people liked being around him. In 1984, he met his long-term companion and spouse, Ming Chau, who he leaves behind. Without Ming, life would not have been the wonderful adventure it was.
