Marilyn Kay Fortune Boonville - Marilyn Kay (West) Fortune, 68, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on July 10, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Kay was born in Greenville, KY on December 23,1950 to Billy West and Grace Bozarth. Kay is survived by her husband of 48 years, Rick Fortune; her 2 sons, Tracy Fortune (Cori) and Tim Fortune (Marcia) of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Tristan Fortune (Blake), Molly Fortune, Sami Fortune, and Moi Fortune; Mother, Grace Bozarth of Central City, KY; Step-Mother, Mary West of Yankeetown, IN; Brothers, Tony West (Lillian), Evansville, IN, Gary West (Carol) and Rickey West (Sherri) of Boonville, IN, and David West (Lori) of Central City, KY; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Charlie Cooper Fortune; her father, Billy West; her brother Mark West; her Mother-in-law Germaine Fortune; and her Father-in-law Glenn "Blackie" Fortune. Kay was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very giving person and loved doing for others. Kay and Rick never met a stranger and always treated their friends as if they were family. Kay loved her job at A+Derr Heating and Air in Newburgh, IN, where they considered her to be a part of their family. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Deaconess Gateway and Deaconess Midtown Hospitals for their love and support over the last couple of months and especially towards the end. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Bradley's Colonial Chapel, 1005 E. Main Street, Boonville, IN with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Friends may call from 2 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019 and one hour prior to funeral services. Burial at Ebenezer Cemetery, in Spencer County, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.bradleyscc.com
