Thelma Elizabeth Smith, 88, Lebanon, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 in Bardstown. She was born on Dec. 15, 1930 in Lebanon. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Francis Earl "Tite" Smith; mother, Dorothy Smith Brown; father, James Tilman Spalding; and son, James Henry "Buster Pete" Brown. Survivors include: daughter, Kathy Bell Porter of Lebanon. A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Timmon Hayden, Curtis Hayden Jr., DeShaun Spalding, Aleem Shakur, James Spalding, and Joe Ben Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Hayden Sr. James Porter, William Shively, Leroy Shockency, Don Thornton, Roger Thompson, and George Thompson. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
