Andre Maurice Frenkenberg M.D. Palm Springs, CA. - Andre Maurice Frenkenberg M.D., F.A.C.S. passed away on June 6th, 2019 at his home in Palm Springs, he was 85. Andre was born in the Belgian Congo on December 21, 1933. He studied premed at The College of St Francois de Sales in Elisabethville, Belgian Congo before moving to Brussels, Belgium to attend The University of Brussels Medical School. He held an internship at St. Peter University Hospital in Brussels Belgium before moving to Philadelphia, PA with a residency at Temple University Hospital, General Surgery, where he met the love of his life, Helene Voermans. They were married for 54 years until her death in March of 2018. Andre and Helene moved to Palm Springs in 1976 where he joined the staff of Desert Hospital, there he worked as a surgeon until his retirement in 1995. Andre will be remembered as a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him. A special thank you to all who cared for him in his last few months. As per Andre's wishes no services will be held.
