In memory of
Fredrickson, Robert Robert J. Fredrickson, age 66, died after illness complications on July 8th, 2019. He resided at Hope Networks' Ada House for the last 5 years, following a severe motor vehicle accident. Dearly loved by his caretakers and family, he will be remembered for his hope filled spirit, a life lived in simplicity, gratitude and kindness of heart. Those that knew Bob, loved him. Bob, also affectionately known as "Rob" to many family and friends, was the son of the late Robert Fredrickson and Leah Fredrickson Schultze. His loving family includes Mark and Cheryl Fredrickson, Benjamin R Fredrickson, Kayle and Todd LaVictoire, and Jenna and Pablo Prieto. He was born in Hancock, Michigan and his formative years where in Saginaw , Michigan. Bob graduated from Ferris State University with an Associate Degree in heating and air conditioning. He was last employed by Goodwill Industries. He dearly loved living in the "Copper Country" of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for most of his adult life and was happiest when fishing in the Portage Lake or visiting with his relatives in Ripley over a cup of coffee. He had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed family gatherings. Life for Bob had many challenges. He embraced his Finnish heritage and exemplified a spirit of SISU...always persevering through trials. Bob had an abiding faith in Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior and now rests in HIS eternal presence. He left this world, a better place, because of his kindness. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at Leslie E. Tassell Park - 2900 Thornapple River Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. He will be laid to rest in Hancock, Michigan. His family wants to sincerely thank all of his "guardian angels" at Hope Networks Sojourners Rehabilitation facility and Ada House.
