Root Sr. , Kenneth J. 2/10/2019 - 7/9/2019 Pullman It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Kenneth James Root Sr. aged 63 on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 of Pullman, formerly of Wyoming, MI. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on February 10, 1956; son of the late Kenneth and Flodella (Pepper) Root. He was raised and lived in Wyoming, MI until he retired, he then moved to rural country life. Kenneth is survived by his childhood sweetheart of 42 years, Mary "Chris" Christine Lawrence; their sons, Kenneth Root Jr. and Joe Root of Pullman, MI. He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Herbert Councilor of Arizona. In his youth he enjoyed bowling, golfing and riding motorcycles. In later years he enjoyed camping, collecting and cutting wood for campfires but mostly watching TV and spending time with family. He became a lover of boxers and leaves behind his dog Max. He worked at S. Abraham and Sons for 24 years. Cremation has taken place and he will be buried in Lee Township Cemetery in Allegan County, MI.
