Dorothy Lee "Dot" Godfrey
Dorothy Lee 'Dot' Godfrey May 15, 1934 - July 3, 2019 Dot Godfrey passed away Wednesday July 3, 2019. A private graveside service will be held. Dorothy was born in Brownsville, Ore., grew up in the Corvallis - Albany area and graduated from Corvallis High School. Worked on the campus of Oregon State University for 13 years. She moved to Portland in 1965 and worked for the Oregon Dept. of Fish & Wildlife for 33 years. A faithful member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for over 40 years, she served as Church Council Secretary and Sunday School Superintendent. Dot was an avid fan of the Oregon State Beavers and the Portland Trail Blazers. She was a benevolent supporter of many charities. Her dry wit and loyal, generous heart will be sorely missed. Survived by sister, Beverly Cathcart (Albert); niece, Deanne Cathcart (Michael Hoard); niece, Janet Linstad; one great-niece; and six great-nephews. Remembrances to the Oregon Humane Society.
