John A. Veasy III Nashville - John A. Veasy III passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at age 72. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jaunita of 53 years, loving children, Yolanda (Chad) Settle, Michael (Tameka) Veasy, grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer), Teah (DeAngelo), Zakariya, Sydney, Joshua, Jaxon, and Ava, great grandchildren Jenesis, Madison, Preston, Haven, and Cadence, sister, Ernestine Majors, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded by his mother Evelyn Veasy-Chapell and John A. Veasy II as well as his brothers Earl Taylor, William Taylor, Robert Taylor, Noble Jones, Newty Jones, and Marshall Jones. He will also be remembered and missed by family and friends for his volunteer service to numerous state and national children and youth non-profit organizations, as a passionate Steelers fan, and a proud patriot and US Air Force veteran. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Black Children's Institute of Tennessee.
