Mary-Elizabeth Youpa
Mary-Elizabeth Youpa ALPHA, NJ Mary-Elizabeth Youpa, 74, of Alpha, NJ, passed away on April 18, 2019, in her home. Born on Jan. 8, 1945, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Popovice Youpa, and sister of the late Thomas Youpa. She was of the Catholic faith. She graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic H.S., the NY Foundling Hospital School of Nursing, and the NY Mandl School of Medical Assistants. Until retiring, she was a resident director for Ladies' Christian Union in New York City for 15 years. Prior to that, she was a child development associate at the NY Foundling Hospital for 14 years. Her life was devoted to caring and doing for others. Mary-Elizabeth loved to read, enjoyed music, and collecting angels (especially for her angel Christmas tree). She was a member of the Easton Chapter of Seniors Circle. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, plus two nieces. Per her request, there will be no calling hours nor funeral services; she wanted you to remember her as she always was. Following cremation, burial will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Alpha. Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 3921-3925 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19104. She was loved and cherished, her leaving has left a great void in our lives, she was a precious soul who sweetly passed through this life.
