Edward B. Ketter
Edward Bernard Ketter, 67, of Ruffs Dale, died Saturday, July 6, 2019, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Ketter was born Oct. 21, 1951, in Greensburg and was a son of Elaine Baughman Ketter, of Jeannette, and the late Bernard Ketter. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in engineering. Prior to his retirement, Ed had been employed by the Lincoln Electric Co. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Elaine Ketter; his wife, Gladys S. Williams Ketter; his daughter, Adina (Michael) Thuransky, of Pittsburgh; and by his grandson, Nico Thuransky. Ed is also survived by his brother and sisters, Bill (Lisa) Ketter, of Jeannette, Adele Gradischek, of Jeannette, and Luann Mills, of Greensburg; his sister-in-law, Nilsa Hernandez, of Orlando, Fla.; and by several nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his beloved cats, Coco Puff and Bosco. In addition to his father, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Ketter, and by his brother-in-law, Barry L. Gradischek. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the time of his celebration of life service, at GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.
