Stephen J. Hanner NAZARETH Stephen J. Hanner, 93, of Nazareth, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2019 in Moravian Hall Square, of Nazareth. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Knauss) Hanner, who passed away on April 14, 2015. Stephen was born on Nov. 25, 1925 in Upper Nazareth, PA. He was the son of the late Louis and Julia (Oboykovits) Hanner. Stephen proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a paratrooper during the Battle of the Bulge. He was the owner and operator of Nazareth Metal Finishing Works and a part owner of Easton Chrome. He generously offered his talents to the local churches and businesses without hesitation. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and life member of the Holy Family Club, both of Nazareth. He also had memberships with the Nazareth VFW Post 4366 and the Catholic War Veterans, of Northampton, PA. Stephen is missed by daughters, Dr. Cindy Olenwine and husband Gary, Sylvia Harrington and Thomas, Lori Bennett and husband Jeff, all of Bushkill Twp., PA; grandchildren, Kristen Sauers and husband Adrian, Amanda Bennett and fiancé Matt Broderick, Shane Olenwine and Stephen Harrington; and great-grandchildren, Corinne and Brooks. Also, by sister, Elizabeth Raskovic, of Wisconsin and sister-in-law, Angela O'Mara, of Coplay, PA. He was predeceased by sisters, Anna Molnar, Theresa Nikles, Julia Dorner and Mary Hanner; and brothers, Frank, Calvin, Louis, Peter, Paul and Anthony Hanner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 410 W. Center St., Nazareth, PA 18064, followed by entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, of Nazareth. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., 220 Washington Park, Nazareth.
