Joseph Anthony Pizzuto, 91 Joseph Anthony Pizzuto, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 18, 2019. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to John and Carmela Pizzuto. After graduating from Manual Training High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., he served in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge. After his military service, he received an associate of arts degree in Finance from the New York Institute of Finance, Manhattan, N.Y. He spent his career in Finance, leading the margin department at W.E. Burnett & Company, New York City. As a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, he was a fourth-degree knight and served as financial secretary of Manresa Council #2147. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Christopher where he served on the Holy Name Society. He prayed the Rosary daily with Mother Angelica from EWTN. He was the beloved husband of Anne for 66 years and the loving father of Mary Baxter (Bill), Patricia Pisano (Tony), Karen Walsh (Mike), and Joseph Pizzuto (Gail). He was the adored grandfather of Courtney, Sarah, Tara (husband Mike), Gregory, Michael, Brian, Joseph, and Matthew as well as the cherished great-grandfather of Michael. He is also survived by his brother, Michael, and was pre-deceased by his sister, Olga Hartman. He was a kind and gentle man who will be forever loved and missed.
