Anna Scampas, 93 Loving wife and mother, known for her deep faith and spirit Anna Scampas (nee Tomao) of Midland Beach passed away peacefully at the age of 93 with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Brooklyn where she met her late husband, Philip. They were happily married for 67 years. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. Together they raised five daughters, Susan Sansone and her husband, Frank, Rosemarie Scampas, Phyllis Weber and her husband, Don, Mary-Ann Beukelaer and her husband, Kenny, Jeanette Colucci and her husband, Bill. She was a loving grandmother to Jennifer Abate and her husband, James, Philip Sansone and his wife, Jennifer, Samantha Weber and cherished great-grandmother to James Abate, Emily Abate and Emma Sansone. She is survived by her brothers, Michael and Dr. Frank Tomao and her sister, Jennie Dana and cherished by many nieces and nephews. Ann was adored by her family and friends for her amazing grace and generosity, her sharp wit and humor, her deep faith, and her beautiful spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her. Viewing will be at Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, N.Y., on Saturday, June 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at St Margaret Mary's Church, 560 Lincoln Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. 10306.
