Joseph S. Barros Sr. Nanuet - Joseph S. Barros Sr. of Nanuet, NY, 44 years old, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2019. Joseph was a resident of Nanuet for 13 years. He was born on November 27, 1974 to Amelia and Jose Barros. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers in 1992 and married the love of his life, Carla, in 2003. Joseph was a dedicated board member of the Nanuet Little League. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being at the Nanuet Little League fields. He was an avid Giants, Yankee and Benfica fan but his greatest joys came from his family. He is survived by his wife Carla, his son Joseph Jr. and daughter Ava. He is also survived by his parents Amelia and Jose Barros and his brother Louis and sister Michele. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in laws, nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles and cousins. He will be missed by all who knew him. Family will receive friends on Thursday, 6/13 from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, 6/14 at 11:30am, at St. Anthony's Church, Nanuet, followed by private cremation.
