Vincenzo (James) Iannuzzi New Rochelle - Vincenzo (James) Iannuzzi, 93, died on June 8, 2019 at his home. James "Jimmy" was born in New Rochelle on July 4, 1925 to Raffaele and Angelina Caporale Iannuzzi. He worked as an Electrical Technician for T.M.C. Electric Co in Mamaroneck, NY. James served in the Navy's Pacific Fleet as a Seaman First Class. He is survived by his five loving nieces and nephews, Angela Iannuzzi Paolucci (John Paolucci), Fred Iannuzzi (Joann Norris), Janet Iannuzzi, Ralph Iannuzzi (Vickie Rannazzi), Anthony Iannuzzi (Vivian Guzman), three great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great-nieces. He is predeceased by brothers Michele, Fred and Joseph. Born on Independence Day, he lived and left us as an independent sprit with humble dignity. Like so many of his generation, he proudly served with the allied forces in WW2 and survived massive damage to the USS Roche (DE-197) when it struck two floating mines. Jimmy was a gentle, loving uncle and neighbor, an animal lover and gardener. A Christian Mass and burial will be held on June 13, 2019 10a.m. at St Gabriel Church in New Rochelle, NY.
