Fran Couch Evansville - Margaret "Fran" Couch, 81, of Evansville passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Parkview Care Center. She was born November 5, 1937 in Gallatin, TN to the late Margaret Ada (Forehand) and Willie Clay Brown and lived most of her childhood in Drakesboro, KY. Fran retired from Permanent Federal Savings Bank as a loan officer. She was a member of East Side Christian Church where she acted as a deacon and as Assistant Financial Secretary. Fran was also on the Board of Weekday Religious Education and sung in the church choir. She was a member of Civitan Singles, the Howell Ladies Golf League, and the Red Hat Society. Fran was an accomplished seamstress and made custom clothing for over 50 clients at one point. Later, she became an award-winning realtor for Hughes Realty. She loved to garden and was blessed with a green thumb, as her flower beds were always gorgeous. Fran traveled the country with friends in her later years and was a loving grandmother. She enjoyed playing games, painting, doing crafts, sewing and going to the park with her young grandchildren. In her early adult life, Fran was an exceptional bowler, scoring 300 several times in league tournaments. She enjoyed golfing with friends and was a devoted member of her church. She has been at Parkview Care Center for nearly eight years and continued her love of socializing in nearly every event offered. We are so thankful for her nurses, techs and Heart-to-Heart Hospice care for taking the best possible care of her in her final years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Fran is survived by her son, Tony (Betsy Marks) Couch; daughter, Angie (Stan) Karcher; grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, Michaela and Mitchell Karcher and Lucas and Carson Couch; brothers, Miller, Richard (Faye), and Bill Brown; nieces and nephews.
