Anthony N. Verano
Anthony N. Verano West Harrison - Anthony "Zack" N. Verano, 89, passed away June 4, 2019. He was born October 15, 1929 in White Plains to Antonio and Mary Verano. Anthony served in the US Navy from 1947-1951.He worked as an assembly line worker for General Motors for 42 years, and was a member of the VFW in West Harrison. On October 11, 1953 Anthony married the late Mildred Verano (Scatoloni) in White Plains. Anthony is survived by his son Anthony (Marieanne) of Wappingers Falls, his two grandchildren; Anthony P. (Ashley) Verano and Christa M. Verano (Michael), great granddaughter Kaylee M. Flynn, and his sister Rafaela DeMarco. Anthony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed reminiscing about his military past, and loved watching the Yankees. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice. Visiting hours are Friday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:45am at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment Mt.
