She attended Bronxville School and graduated from Cornell University in 1955. She went on to Columbia Medical School and became a psychiatrist, practicing in Bronxville until March of this year. An avid birder and traveler, Jean visited all 50 states and toured around the globe from the Arctic Circle to the Antarctic. She traveled over the years with her family, husband, friends, and treated each of her grandchildren to a special trip. Her most recent adventure was an African safari last year. In her younger years, she enjoyed skiing, taking winter trips with her family to Utah, New Mexico, California, Canada, Italy, France and Austria. As a teen, she participated in a cross country bicycle trip and climbed Mt Hood. Jean spent each of her summers at her family camp on Lake George with her children and grandchildren where countless memories were made. She was the center of a large, close family and she will be missed terribly by us all. Calling Hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday, May 23rd. Memorial Service at The Reformed Church of Bronxville, on Friday, May 24 at 11 am.
