DONALD NEWMAN
Donald R. Newman Dec. 29, 1933 - May 14, 2019 DEL CITY Donald R. Newman, last of 10 children, passed away on May 14, 2019. Born in Earlsboro, OK, he was 85. He served in the Navy in 1952 to 1956. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; and his daughter, Kim Gay; also, mother and father, Irma Beulah and Richard Almer; along with his many siblings. Survivors are his daughter, Pam and husband Al Reeves; son-in-law, Lindsey Gay; stepdaughters, Molly and Laura; and many nieces and nephews. His travels in service led him to many places, including Guam and Christmas Island. He would show us his many pictures of his travels. He was a strong-willed man with a very much "tell it like it is" attitude. He loved playing his guitar and singing country music with his family in his earlier years and at the family reunions. He loved to fish and read his Louis L'amour Western books. He loved to get outside on his lawn mower and take care of his yard. He appreciated his neighbors, Robert and Judy, who always checked in on him. Also, many thanks to Aspire Home Health for their excellent care and staff. We loved and will miss him!
