Fredrick Lawrence
Lawrence, Fredrick Formerly of Grand Rapids and Greenville, MI Fredrick E. Lawrence age 93, of Greenville, Mi., passed away peacefully at his winter home in Lakeland, Fl. on Monday, December 10, 2018. He was born on October 13, 1925 in Belmont Mi. He retired as Lieutenant, from the city of Grand Rapids fire department, and he also retired from Gordon Food service, beverage technician team. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the VFW post in Greenville, Mi., and the Grand Rapids Firefighter Association. Fred is survived by his daughters, Karen E. Lawrence of Grand Rapids, Mi., and Lisa Distasi of FL.; his companion, June McMeeken of Greenville, Mi.; his siblings, Mary L. Feeback of Comstock Park, Mi., and Myra Rettler of Hudsonville, Mi.; grandchildren, Sherry Kuo of Grand Rapids, Mi., Erinn Rodas and Tony Rodas both of Florida; great granddaughter, Leah Rodas, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm at the Grand Rapids Firefighters Hall, 1930 Fuller Ave NE, 49505. Fred would not have wanted flowers, so his family would appreciate that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society of West Michigan, or to St. Peter and Paul care of St. Florian Fund attn: Dennis Marrow, 520 Myrtle NW, Grand Rapids, 49504
