In memory of
Dean Decima
"Goodnight, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest" "Hamlet", William Shakespeare Today, Thursday, May 9, 2019, the world is less kind, less witty & smart. Today our hearts are filled with sadness at the passing of Dean "Dino" August Decima, 67, of Dauphin, PA. Beloved husband of 36 years & life long friend to Claudia Stein Decima, brother to Donna Cattell, David & Dale Decima, brother-in-law to Rochelle Rosenberg, uncle to Michael (Kathy) Cattell, Amy Jo (Michael) Magee, Joe (April) Cattell. Great uncle to Michael, Jr., Kathy & Sophie Cattell, Emma & Ethan Magee, & Moses & Asa Cattell. "Daddy" to our Cavalier puppy Chloe'. Friend, nephew and cousin to many. Dean was a true individualist, his career varied from teacher of "one room school house" at S.C.I. Camp Hill – with a master's degree in correctional education, to Systems Creation & Analysis at a few state agencies before retiring from PHEAA with 35 years of service to the Commonwealth of PA. Dean & Claudia were blessed with a wonderful life together, building careers & retiring early to enjoy traveling the world; including a momentous trip to the ancestral home of the Decima family, Taibon, Agordino, Italy. He will be missed. We all are better to have known him, laugh with him and listen to his beautiful guitar music. A special mention of gratitude to our niece, Amy, for her care and unfettered devotion during this difficult journey. "Till we meet again my love, my dearest boy." A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Stoney Creek Inn, 150 Erie Street, Dauphin, PA 17018. Arrangements are under the care of the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, Inc., 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109. To send condolences or to share memories with the family please go to BitnerCares.com . In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Dean.
