AUSTIN - Ahmad Austin departed this life on May 1, 2019 at the tender age of 16. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Gonzales. Ahmad was a student at East Ascension High School, enjoyed playing football and basketball, and had a passion for music. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Monique Austin of Gonzales; his father, David Petit of Baton Rouge; his grandmother, Rose Mary Austin of New Orleans; (4) brothers: Jareth Hill, Jeremiah Austin, David and Darnell Perry; (5) sisters: Jerranisha Austin, Devina Petit, LaQuisha, Brianna and Demetrice Perry; as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 11, 2019 for 11:00am at Trinity AME Church 1420 S. Darla Ave., Gonzales, LA. Rev. Ritney Castine, Pastor/Officiating. Visitation from 9:00am until service time.
