Robert Howard Lee
Robert Howard Lee Palm Desert - May 20, 1970-April 17, 2019. Robert Lee, 48, of Palm Desert, CA passed away unexpectedly and way too soon on April 17, 2019. Robert was born in Santa Clara, CA on May 20, 1970 to Elena (Barrioz) and Dan Lee. Robert's fascination for cinematography shaped his career from an early age when he first brought stories to life with toy firemen, Godzilla and an 8mm projector camera. He attended UC Santa Barbara majoring in film studies and graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Radio/TV-Film and a minor in Creative Writing. He is the author of "Wasting Vegas" and worked at Cord Media in Palm Desert. He was a zealous fan of the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants and rarely missed a NASCAR race! He was a huge Metallica, Cheap Trick and Prince music lover, a champion of the underdog, a noble gentleman who stood by a code of honor, and an amazing and loyal friend to so many! Robert is survived by his mother, Elena Barrioz, his father and step-mother, Dan and Dadhri Lee, his brother, Nathan Lee, his sister, Danette Lee, his nephew, Calvin, niece, Briella, step-brother, Louis Smith and too many friends to count. Robert, you are sorely missed by all those who know and love you. We already miss your punctual and quirky birthday, anniversary and holiday cards. There will be an informal celebration of life held at the Red Barn in Palm Desert on Sunday May19th from 4-6pm. Friends and family are welcome to raise a pint and share a memory.
