Patricia Anderson Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, active in East Hanover civic and church organizations for many years, 87 Patricia Anderson, 87, a longtime resident of East Hanover, N.J., for 58 years, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Funeral services will begin 8:45 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Hancliffe Home for Funerals, 222 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, N.J. 07936, hancliffehomeforfunerals.comw ith a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 9:45 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, N.J. Following Mass, interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, N.J. Viewing will be Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Hancliffe Home for Funerals, from 4 to 9 p.m. Born on June 4, 1930, Pat was the daughter of the late James P. Bridge and Anna Brady. She was united in marriage to Carl R. Anderson on June 12, 1954. She worked for the East Hanover school system as a school bus driver for 20 years before retiring. She was heavily involved in her community, serving as a member of the East Hanover Board of Education, East Hanover Seniors, Girl Scout leader, Girls Softball (Lassie League), Hanover Park Wrestling Booster, and a member of various church fund raising committees. She was a devoted wife of 64 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna. She was survived by her husband, who followed her in death only two days later; three children, Patricia M. Anderson (Thomas Boettinger), Budd Lake, N.J.; Carl R. Anderson II (Mary Ellen), Colorado Springs, Colo., and John R. Anderson (Kathleen), Avon by the Sea, N.J.; six grandchildren, Katie (Philip) Zubrod, Carl R. Anderson III, John Tyler (Michaella) Anderson, Kaitlyn Anderson, Sean Anderson, and Ryan Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Agnes and Anastasia Zubrod; her sister, Doris Garner, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, N.J.
