John Ellingwood was born on April 2, 1960, and left to be with his Savior on Dec. 14, 2018. John lived in Fort Bragg his entire life. He worked at various jobs in the area and was most known for working at Jerry's Beacon for many of those years. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; children, Aaron Ellingwood and Christina (Casey) Penna; and grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon and Sierra, whom he never met. He also leaves behind his brothers, Ronnie Bartell and Emery Ellingwood; sisters, Sharon (Joe) Lowery and Candy Caron; plus many nieces, nephews and friends, including his best friend and caregiver, Rowdy. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Sheba. There will be a celebration of life for John on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 21300 Highway 20. Please come and honor him with a short story or memory. Then stay for refreshments.
