Ruth Boring Dec. 20, 1928 - April 10, 2019 MIDWEST CITY Ruth Fern (Matthews) Boring, 90, passed away peacefully in her home on April 10, 2019. Born and raised in Agra, OK, Ruth met her soon to be husband, Francis Boring, while attending and eventually graduating together from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1950. Ruth was Assistant Registrar at Central State College. Ruth and Francis moved to Midwest City in 1953. Ruth taught 1st and 2nd grades for 34 years in the Mid-Del School System, retiring in 1986. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Debra K. Goeller and her husband Larry, and their children, Dustin Walker, Rosty and Elizabeth Walker, Mindy Walker, and Christina and Cody Anderson; daughter, Jana S. Long and her husband Gil, and their children, James and Jennifer Long and Jill and Mike Nelson; son, David A. Boring and wife Carla, and their children, Robert and Christine Boring and Russell Boring; daughter, Nancy J. Head and her husband Tony, and their children, Charles and Juley Head, Matthew and Nikki Head, Christy Head, and Andrew and Laci Head; son, Jeffrey L. Boring and his wife Robin, and their children, Kasey and Kennedy Hutchins; 20 great-grandchildren and many, many friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Matthews; mother, Ethel (Cabe) Matthews; brother, Eugene Matthews; two sisters, Quincy Dawes and Erdis Dean; and son-in-law, Roy C. Walker. Services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the Midwest City First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Services are under the care of Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, Midwest City, OK.
