Thomas Day Jr.
Thomas M. Day Jr. Retired educator, of Basking Ridge Thomas was born in Morristown, N.J., in 1951. He was a longtime, beloved teacher in the Randolph school district and a graduate of Rutgers University with a Master's in Education. After retirement, he was a professional painter and handyman, an active member of his church and community, and a fisherman. Recently, he had begun work as a Basking Ridge crossing guard to maintain active involvement with the community's children. He passed at Morristown Medical Center on March 14, 2019 at age 67. He is survived by his loving companion, Kathy Bousquet, and her daughter, Jennifer. He is also survived by his son, Thomas III, and daughter-in-law, Kim; his daughter, Stephanie, and son-in-law Eric; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Abigail, and Sophia. Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Millington, N.J., on March 30, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, PO Box 415, Millington, N.J. 07946 or online at www.allsaintsmillington.org or Randolph Education Foundation, PO Box 578, Mount Freedom, NJ 07970.
