PHILADELPHIA - Donna M. Hyler, 67, of 327 Tasker St., passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at her sister's home, 1528 Tioga St., Coal Township. She was born on Sept. 20, 1951, in Shamokin, a daughter of Charles and Florence (Bartlinski) Derr. Donna moved to Philadelphia around 1955 and graduated from the Little Flower High School, Philadelphia, Class of 1969. She was employed as an administrative assistant at her son's company, Hybros LLC, and was of the Catholic faith. Donna was the kind of person who would help anyone who needed it. She loved her cats and enjoyed going to the beach, especially Atlantic City. Her grandchildren were her world and she cherished the time she spent with them. She is survived by her mother, Florence Derr, of Coal Township; her son, Robert Hyler and his wife, Dee, of Huntingdon Valley; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Logan and Matthew; a sister, Patty Shurock, of Coal Township; a brother, Charles Derr and his wife, Francine, of Shamokin; and numerous nieces and nephews. HYLER - Donna M. Hyler, 67, of 327 Tasker St., Philadelphia. A memorial visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ryan Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Donna's memory to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 2110, New York, NY 10122 or online at ocrahope.org .
