Marilyn Jeanne Sluder Calhoun Henderson KY Marilyn Jeanne Sluder Calhoun, 85, of Henderson Kentucky passed away March 14, 2019. she was born in New Albany, Indiana on April 7th, 1933. Her Parents were Audrey Baker Sperry and Joseph Robert Sluder and enjoyed a loving relationship with her stepfather Sereno (Jack) Sperry. She was preceded in death by her parents from Evansville, Indiana and granddaughter Crystal Skye Draper from Bardstown, Kentucky. Marilyn was an active member of Zion Baptist Church in Henderson. She was a very talented artist with her works being displayed at the Audubon Society and the Henderson County Library. She served on Senator Vance Hartke presidential campaign in New Hampshire during the early 1970's. Marilyn was an accomplished actress in various regional theatres troupes. She was also a member of Evansville Civic Theatre, Evansville Philharmonic and the Evansville Dance Theatre. Marilyn was the proud owner of "Designer Creations" a specialty clothing shop in Evansville Indiana. She was an avid reader and well known at the Henderson county library. She also enjoyed painting, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Charles Morgan Calhoun 85 of Henderson, Kentucky. Brother Patrick and Debrah) Sluder, sister Carol Clayman, sister Judy and (Tony) Scafidi. along with her children, son Kenneth and (Jamie) Draper, son David and (Jeana) Draper, son Stephen and (LeeAnn) Draper, daughter Robyn Wilkey and (Dr. Samuel) Wilkey, stepdaughter Jennifer and (Frank) Lussier. She also had 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of her life at Zion Baptist Church in Henderson Kentucky on March 30th, 2019 at 11:00 am. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Zion Baptist Church and Book Mobile program at the Henderson County Public Library.
