Darlene Shirley Pannell Oct. 21, 1929 - March 12, 2019 Darlene Shirley Pannell of Gresham, passed away March 12, 2019. She was born to Verne and Zelma Hennings Oct. 21, 1929 in Souix Falls, S.D. She met and married Clinton Pannell Feb. 23, 1948. She was an LPN and worked as a school nurse at Rosemont Girls School in North Portland. She was a member of 1st Orthodox Presbyterian Church where she was active in worship and fellowship for many years. She was full of energy and her faith in God led her to use that energy to help where needed with volunteer organizations in Portland, Oregon. She loved the outdoors camping and hiking, Over the years they traveled to all 50 States, enjoyed many cruises and visits to other countries. She delighted in family and with great joy gathered them together for lunch each Sunday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton; and son, Glen Pannell. Surviving her are son, James Pannell; daughter, Pamela (Pannell) and Darwin Johnson; daughter-in-law, Sandy Pannell (Glen); daughter, Karen (Pannell) and Dave Kuhn; along with 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
