Margaret "Peggy" (Beaty) Denfeld
Margaret 'Peggy' (Beaty) Denfeld July 30, 1925 - Feb. 24, 2019 Peggy was born in Jerome, Idaho to Thelma and Eugene Heath who along with her brother Eugene preceded her in death. Sisters, Marjorie Hunter and Norma Cole remained her best friends. In 1946 Peggy married Gerald "Jerry" Beaty, they had four children, Diann and Russ Triebwasser Damascus, OR, Steve and Jean Beaty Vancouver, WA, Jeri Baird and Scott Riddell Renton, WA, Janice and Michael McCaffrey Happy Valley, OR, and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Jerry died in 1985. In 1987 Peggy married Leon Denfeld, they moved to Pine Hollow, Ore., traveled extensively and "Snow birded" in Arizona. Leon died in 2018. Peggy loved being part of the Pine Hollow community, volunteering, playing golf, Mexican train and pinochle. She appreciated the blessings of her lifetime and never wavered in her love for others. On Feb. 24, 2019 at 7:38 p.m., surrounded by her family, Peggy peacefully took her last breath as the song "Sentimental Journey" played, "Gonna take a sentimental journey, Gonna set my heart at ease, Seven, that's the time we leave, at seven, I'll be waitin' up at heaven". A celebration of life will honor Peggy, at 11 a.m., Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Hopkins Demonstration Forest, Everett Hall, 16750 S. Brockway Rd., Oregon City, OR.
