He taught English at North Medford High School the majority of his career. Buz's profound love of the world around him shaped a man who lived with an open heart and curious mind, he spent time exploring fossil beds in Eastern Oregon, skiing and hiking the mountains in the Pacific Northwest, fishing the seas off the coast of Oregon, exploring the vast and glorious lands of Alaska and absorbing the words and wisdom of literary masters. He lived his life full of grace and compassion, often a solitary journeyman but also accompanied by those who loved him. An easy teacher, a profound thinker, a skilled fisherman, a beloved guide and an inspiration for a life well lived, Buz Casper's light shone bright. Buz's life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., March 23, 2019, in the North Medford High School choir room off the auditorium lobby.
