With loving memories of Donald Lee Day of Enola, PA born Sept 2, 1949 in St. Louis, MO & died Feb 8, 2019 in Harrisburg, PA after a valiant battle with sepsis & pneumonia with complications of end stage renal disease. Donald served our country in the US Army from 1969-1975 as a Nuclear Weapons Maintenance Specialist at Sandia Base, NM & Ft. Belvoir, VA. He worked as a Computer Engineer to maintain data communications & data security as a gov't contractor. Then, with DDSP, assisting our troops during Operation Enduring Freedom, which he received a Joint Meritorious Award in 1999 for outstanding service. Donald retired in 2009. He loved reading, bowling & playing card games. In the last few years, he loved going to the movies with his son, spoiling his only grandchild, & going to eat with his daughter & son-in-law. He could always lift you up with his beautiful smile. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Winferd E. Day & Trula M. Duvall Day, two sisters & a brother. Donald is survived by his wife, Janice Calvert Day, son Donald Matthew Day, daughter Melissa Christine Day (Webster Ye), granddaughter Miriam Day Ye, his brother Dennis Day, & sister Deborah Day. A service was held on Feb 12, 2019 at the Shalonis Funeral Home in Marysville, PA. Cremation followed.
