Gordon "Bucky" Broomfield
Gordon "Bucky" Broomfield Gordon "Bucky" Broomfield passed away on Feb. 23, 2019. Bucky was born on July 3, 1926, and was a World War II veteran. He was kind, caring and genuine and invested in his family, in his love for Barbara, his wife of 70 years, and in laughter with all who crossed his path. Bucky was a friend to all the people he met, always with a positive word of encouragement, a sense of humor and genuine respect. Bucky is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Janet, Mark, Lynne, Ted, Ken, Paul and Kelly; grandchildren, Jonathan, Nikki, Jerod, Laura, Lindsay, Farid, Leigh, Dylan, Jeremy, Sean and Ian; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ethan, Dominic, Reed, Semma and Jayden; brother, Robert; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A private memorial service was held on February 24 for the immediate family at Glastonbury Funeral Home, Glastonbury, Conn. Donations in Bucky's name may be made to American Legion Post 34 in Shortsville.
