John Anderson Wolgamott
John Anderson Wolgamott Palm Desert - John Anderson Wolgamott, age 78, of Palm Desert, CA passed away February 23, 2019. Born in Coos Bay, OR, John grew up in Richland, WA and attended high school and college in Aberdeen, WA. At age 20, John joined the Navy, and he met his wife of 57 years, Judy, while stationed in Pensacola, FL. They married on March 3, 1962, and returned to Washington to begin their life together and raise a family. In 1972, John's work took the family to sunny Southern California, where John later decided to achieve a lifelong dream and join the PGA. While living in Palm Desert for the past 25 years, John enjoyed working, playing, and teaching as a Golf Professional at numerous golf courses throughout the Coachella Valley. John is survived by his wife Judy; his three daughters: Jan (Robert) Zatorski, Joyce (Steve) Campion and Joni (John) Hayes; seven grandchildren: Allyson, Brianne, Devon, Daniel, James, Cristian and Kena; and two brothers. In memory of his love for golf, donations may be made in John's honor to The First Tee of the Coachella Valley, 74945 Sheryl Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92211.
