Dorothy K. (Goodsell) Stierle, 62, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 8, 2019 in Baystate Medical Center. The daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Masko) Goodsell, she was born in Springfield on December 29, 1956 and has lived here most of her life. She attended local schools and graduated from Commerce High School in 1974. She was employed as a Packer for the past 28 years by Cardinal Health (formerly Ludlow Technical Products). Her husband, Robert T. Stierle, passed away on January 11, 2017. She leaves two sons, Mark A. Stierle of Springfield and Michael T. Stierle of Ludlow, 3 brothers, Robert Goodsell and his wife Jeanne of West Springfield, Richard Goodsell and his wife Christine of New Boston, TX and John Goodsell of East Longmeadow, a sister, Diane Danahey and her husband Brian of Longmeadow, a sister-in-law, Helen James and her husband John of Chicopee and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 in the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee from 4 to 7 p.m. A private funeral will be held for the family with burial taking place in Calvary Cemetery.
