Harold J. Bohlig Ossining - Harold J. Bohlig, 94, an Ossining resident since 1925, died on February 6, 2019 at The FASNY Fireman's Home, Hudson, NY. Born on February 23, 1925 in Peekskill, NY. Harold was the son of the late Melbourne and Adelaide (Barger) Bohlig. He was employed by New York Central for 25 years, for another 30 years he worked for Sisters of the Sick and Poor at Mariandale, and then continued to work until he retired when he turned 84. Harold joined the Ossining Hose Co 1 in 1943 and continued his fire service for 75 years. In the spring of 1944, Harold married Betty Jean (Gaylord) (deceased). He is survived by his two daughters and one son, Donna L. Hart and Bob Hart (deceased) of Danbury, CT; Betty Anne Nolan and David Nolan (deceased) of Phoenix, AZ; Robert J Bohlig and Dana (Smith) Bohlig, Poughkeepsie, NY; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; multiple nieces, nephews, and their children. He was also predeceased by his siblings Fred, Donald (twin to Harold), Melbourne and Dorothy. Services will be held on Saturday, February 16th with visiting hours from 12-1:30 PM., followed by a church and cemetery services. All of the services will be on the premises at the The FASNY Fireman's Home, 125 Harry Howard Ave., Hudson NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Harold to The FASNY Fireman's Home and/or the Ossining Hose Company #1.
