Thomas Anthony Cooke
Thomas Anthony Cooke - - Thomas Anthony Cooke born June 14, 1931, son of deceased Thomas A Cooke and Harriet Calvey, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Frances Schervier Rehab. Thomas is predeceased by brother John Edward, and sister Patricia Di Napoli. .. Thomas is also predeceased by two nephews, Mark Di Napoli and Joseph Di Napoli. Thomas is survived by two sister, Rose McElroy and Mary Flanagan., and eight nieces and three nephews. Thomas attended Annunciation Boys School and Cardinal Hayes High School in New York. He could often be found, with his teenage buddies at Tony's Candy Store on 135th ST. He then enlisted in U S Army during the Korean Conflict, upon discharge he moved to Lourdes France where he , for 20 years cared for the pilgrims who came to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. As his health failed, he returned to America, and resided at Frances Schervier Rehab, where he received kind and loving care...Special thanks to Franca. All who know Thomas know he was a good man, a good Catholic. Our family extends loving gratitude to the kindness of Jerry Smith, who regardless of the weather visited, (sometimes with his favorites TIC TACS) Thank you Jerry and may God Bless you.
