LaFern Locke Moss Aug. 22, 1934 - Feb. 6, 2019 OKLAHOMA CITY LaFern Locke Moss was born on Aug. 22, 1934, near Wetumka, OK to Jack P. and Syble Locke. She passed from this life Wed-nesday, Feb. 6, 2019, in Oklahoma City at the age of 84. LaFern graduated Midwest City High School in 1953 and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for five years. On April 6, 1957, she married the man of her dreams, Clarence L. Moss, at Glenwood Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK. After several years as a homemaker, she went to work as a Media Assistant at John Adams Elementary School in Oklahoma for 28 years. She retired in 2001. LaFern and Clarence are members of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. LaFern was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Louie Locke and Orval Locke. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence L. Moss; daughters and sons-in-law, Lou Ann & Mike Moore and Sharon & Kerry West; three grandsons and their wives, Andrew & Jessi Moore, Adam & Laura Moore, and Austin & Lanie Moore; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Delores Walker. Visitation for Mrs. Moss is being held at Crawford Funeral Service, 610 NW 178th St., Edmond, OK, on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family to receive friends at a Reception from 2 to 4 p.m., and on Monday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial to proceed at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
