Barrera Jr., Benito Age 71, was called to be with the Lord on February 4, 2019. Benito was born in Chicago. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Benito was preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Marcela Barrera; siblings, Dolores Martinez, Ricardo Barrera, Jesse Barrera, Casimiro Barrera, Alfred Barrera and Danny Barrera. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years Anita (nee Valdivia) Barrera; children, Trina (Steven) Pecina, Steven (Jackie) Barrera, Benito Barrera III and the late Angela Barrera; siblings, Janie (Alfred) Aguirre, Josephine (Leonard) Summerrise, Alicia Barrera, Joe (Sara) Barrera, Robert (the late Yolanda) Barrera, Mary Chavez and Ruben Barrera. He shared a love for his grandchildren Steven, Miranda, Claudia, Brandon, Jaycub, Mariah, Rogelio, Angelo, Jeffery, Nella and Bear; also a loving godfather to Annissa and Raul. Benito dedicated his life to taking care of his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved watching westerns, classic Godzilla movies, listening to his old jams, taking rides to South Chicago and, best of all, Benito lived his life to the fullest with no regrets.
