David J. Allen Superior, MT - Passed away at his home on the river January 26, 2019. Born September 6, 1948, Webster, NY. Predeceased by parents, Robert H. & Margaret Allen, brother, Robert K. Allen. Survived by his wife, Jan of Superior, MT; son Alex (Dayna) Allen & their daughters, Trinci & Allurah, of Bozeman, MT; daughter Emily Allen of Whitefish, MT; brother Bill Allen of Lyons, NY; sister Mary Beth Allen & sister-in-law Evalyn Allen of Webster, NY, several nieces and nephews. Dave was a 1967 graduate of RL Thomas HS. He was a high school and college champion diver. As a teacher and coach he felt fortunate to work with all age groups. Dave had a great love for fly fishing and guiding on rivers in the west. Some of the best memories were with family and friends while floating his favorite rivers and telling tall tales around the campfires. Dave will forever remind us of his heart; full of strength, optimism, and love. "Life is good in Montana." A celebration of Dave's life will take place in Summer 2019.
